About the Program

History

Alternative energy resources technology program was opened in 2017. In 2018, the minimum number of teaching staff required for the opening of the program was completed and applied to the Higher Education Institution for student admission in 2019.

Program Profile

In order for our students to have a good level of knowledge and skills, our education and training activities are carried out by utilizing all the possibilities of technology. We have 1 modern energy laboratory and 1 computer laboratory, 3 classrooms where the possibilities of modern technology are used and social spaces that students can use. Our school is located in Baskil district of Elazığ province. There is transportation from the city center to the district center every hour.

Degrees Earned

Our students graduate with an associate degree and earn the title of “Technician”.

Admission Requirements

Candidates must have a high school or equivalent school diploma and must have obtained sufficient points from the university Student Selection Examination (TYT) score type.

Transition to Upper Level

Students who successfully complete this program can study in undergraduate programs by transferring to Electrical Engineering, Electrical-Electronics Engineering, Energy Systems Engineering, Energy Management, Physics, Physics Engineering, Nuclear Energy Engineering within the quotas with the DGS (Vertical Transfer Exam) exam held by ÖSYM.

Graduation Requirements

The students of this program are required to pass the courses equivalent to 120 ECTS, to do 30 working days summer internship and to obtain a weighted grade point average of at least 2 out of 4.

Graduate Employment Opportunities

Students who graduate from the alternative energy resources technology program; They can be employed in organizations operating in the sector on alternative energy resources and energy production and distribution, in organizations producing the necessary equipment for this technology. They can also work in public institutions in the field of energy.
