About the Program
History
Rail Systems Machinist Program was opened in 2018. In 2020, by completing the minimum number of academic staff required for the opening of the program in 2020, it was applied to the Higher Education Institution for student intake in 2020 and received its first students.
Program Profile
In order for our students to have a good level of knowledge and skills, our education and training activities are carried out by utilizing all the possibilities of technology. We have 1 modern computer laboratory, 3 classrooms where the possibilities of modern technology are used and social spaces that students can use. Our school is located in Baskil district of Elazığ province. There is transportation from the city center to the district center every hour.
Degrees Earned
Students who graduate from this program have the title of “Rail Systems Machinist”.
Admission Requirements
Candidates must have a high school or equivalent school diploma and must have obtained sufficient points from the university Student Selection Examination (TYT) score type.
Transition to Upper Level
Students can apply to undergraduate programs related to their field of study or undergraduate degree completion programs of Distance Education Systems, provided that they get enough points in the Vertical Transfer Exam conducted by the Student Selection and Placement Center.
Graduation Requirements
Students of this program are required to pass the courses equivalent to 120 ECTS, to do 30 working days of summer internship and to obtain a weighted grade point average of at least 2 out of 4.
Graduate Employment Opportunities
Graduates of the program will be able to be employed in the technical and administrative units of T.C.D.D technical and administrative units, technical and administrative units of rail system public transportation of municipalities, public and private enterprises engaged in the production of rail system vehicles.
Assessment and Evaluation
Fırat University Examination Regulation, Fırat University Measurement and Evaluation System is used.
